7th Session - Organizational Behaviour - The Power to Determine the Success of an Organization.
The CITNM´s conference cycle Casting Clinic will enter 2017 with a transversal theme for all organizations, regardless of their area of activity - Organizational Behaviour.
Although it is a subject of great importance, organizations have only recently begun to give it its due importance, as it may, ultimately, determine the success of the organization.
Organizational Behaviour is essentially based on the habits, behaviours, beliefs, ethical and moral values and internal and external policies of an organization. Some have the power to influence the world with its boldness and innovation and others have a direct influence on the employees’ wellbeing and lifestyle. All of them influence the way people see the organization and act within it.
It is an important and up-to-date issue for which companies are increasingly aware, understanding the great influence that Organizational Behaviour can have on the performance of their human resources.
The session will have as keynote speaker Dra. Cândida Santos, Professor at Porto Business School. With a degree in Sociology of Organizations and a Master in Management of Resources by the School of Economics and Management of the University of Minho, she has extensive experience as a top manager, in particular in the area of human resources. She was a professor at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto, where she lectured Human Resources Management and at the University of Minho, where she lectured Psychology of Organizations. Cândida Santos has also developed training activities for managers and staff of the Public Administration, as well as in public business entities, in the area of global management, strategy definition and organizational behaviour.
The Casting Clinic conferences occur monthly at CITNM’s auditory, with the objective to gather metallurgists, foundry professionals and specialists to debate and share experiences in different fields of common interest.
