Casting Clinic #18 – Gating system projects, alternative methods of calculation.
The gating system is of great importance for the design of a pattern plate, and influences greatly the pattern yield and the quality of the castings.
In this field, like in others in foundry, there have been developments in the calculation and design of the gating system, which allow for an increase in efficiency when combined with a more precise metallurgical control.
In this Casting Clinic session, to be held on february 15, in room F106 (1st floor) at the Metallurgy and Materials Department of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto, between 18:00 and 19:30, alternative methods for calculating the parameters driving the design of the gating system will be presented and debated.
The guest speaker is Prof. Doutor Carlos Silva Ribeiro, Associate Professor in the Metallurgy and Materials Department of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto, who has extensive experience in this field.
It will be a great opportunity for participants to share their experiences and explore new solutions to use in their own projects.
We count on your presence!
